The Judgment of Paris, a California vs France Wine Tasting
May 4, 2018 @ 6:00PM — 10:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
This is North Beach Citizens’ third annual wine tasting fundraiser to celebrate the Judgment of Paris, the historic 1976 Paris tasting that put California winemakers on the map. Attendees will enjoy a blind wine tasting of some of the most exclusive French wines from Burgundy versus some of the finest California Pinot and Chardonnays from Napa and Sonoma. They will be able to compare their wine scoring talents to those of an expert panel of wine connoisseurs. Attendees will enjoy thoughtfully prepared food pairings and an elegant evening at a beautiful private home with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Proceeds benefit North Beach Citizens, a local non-profit organization that provides real and lasting solutions for San Francisco's homeless and low-income population. The nonprofit was founded in 2001 by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Together with a group of residents and merchants, North Beach Citizens utilizes the talents and support of the local community to produce real solutions for the homeless, engaging isolated individuals in positive interaction and problem solving. North Beach Citizens is funded primarily by private donations.
